‘Colbert Report’ crew to film in Athens


A producer from Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report" has confirmed that a film crew will be coming to Athens next week to file a report on Bobby Kirk, an Oconee County resident who, in an article published in Saturday's Athens Banner-Herald, said it was too hot to fish.

Kirk, as interviewed by staff reporter Wayne Ford, said just a week before the story ran he'd caught a 40-pound catfish, but rising temperatures outside and the lure of air-conditioning inside has "ruined everybody" in terms of dealing with the heat.
